The Next Bond!!
"Bond is another lifetime behind me," Pierce Brosnan said.
If true, England-based Eon Productions, which produces the Bond flicks, must find another star to carry 007's Walther PPK in the 21st Bond movie, scheduled for release next year.
Speculation surrounds Brits Clive Owen, Ioan Gruffudd, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Gerard Butler, Jude Law and Ewan McGregor, as well as Aussies Hugh Jackman, Heath Ledger and Eric Bana.
Hugh Grant!!! Are you kidding me?...Just imagine him nervously stutter "I ..I .Iam Bond...James Bond...do you care for some Tea and Biscuits"in a English royal accent, flicking his hair back and barely managing to lock eyes with person he is talking to.
Let's do SWAT analysis on his candidature for this role.
Weakness: Will need a whole new blog.
Tactics: Make the movie "Women only" and release it only in Britain.

IF that news is true, then I guess Bond suffered its biggest loss ever (coming from a die-hard Pierce Brosnan fan) - now I know little about the Bond movies and care even less about them, but HUGH GRANT? *Puke* -

Hey, mebbe Grant will lend a touch of humaneness to JB - but ya, coming to think of it, he doesnt kinda fit.. Bana sounds a good option though neone is better than Robbie Williams whose name was bandied abt sometme back :-) -

Nice blog, gvenum! Agree with ya about the shifty eyes part! :) Hugh Grant, while nice in the clueless, adorable sort of way, doesn't have that raw sex appeal that Bond should have. And BOY does Pierce Brosnan have truckloads of that or what! *drool*
Colin Firth seems too nice-gentleman types to be the 'bad boy' that Bond is. Heath Ledger could do the part, but he looks too young.. like a teen Bond almost. Now Hugh Jackman .. hmmmm.. clean up Wolverine a lil, smack a good Armani suit on him, and he just might fit the bill! :) -
