Happy Sankranti to everyone. Coming back from a memorable trip back home after nearly 6 years, I can easily see what I have been missing all these years, The festivals. What better place to celebrate the festivals than your own blog.This picture was taken from one of the streets of good old Vijayawada which holds all my childhood memories.

What you said is so true... The last couple of years ever since I have been in the US,( probably this applies to most of my friends too), every big festival that we anxiously waited for back home ... is not even an event here. There have been years we forgot that the day was diwali or Chaturthi until we got an ecard from someone back home. Most of all you miss all the splendor and gaiety and ofcourse all the mouth watering sweets and snacks that are characteristic of the festival ...
Oh Venu you've sent me on a nostalgic trip .. I better stop here before the comment becomes a blog by itself ;)

I know how it feels to miss something which we r associated with childhood memories,thanks alot for u comment on my blog,and u write verywell, i will comeback:) and onemore thing,i wish i could put up a pic as u did for this post,i tried somuch for a rangoli pic but i couldn get it,and here it look so beautiful. and felt excited to know that u belong to Vijayawada,i was talking abt a village near to it.
